Empowering Girls and Young Women

OUR Story

unlocking the boundless potential within every girl and young woman.

SASHE Initiative was founded in 2020 as a volunteer initiative dubbed, SHE (Social Support and Holistic Empowerment) Initiative by a group of passionate women who saw the need to empower girls and young women to reach their full potential.

In 2022, the initiative was registered as SASHE (Significant Action, Social support and Holistic Empowerment) Non-Governmental Organization to have a greater impact, ensure accountability, and attract more partners who wanted to get involved.

Our Programs and Services

Life Skills Training

Offering training in life skills such self-identity, mental health wellness, and sexual reproductive health to help girls and young women build their capacity to cope with life challenges and succeed in their personal and professional lives.

Career Development

Providing career guidance and job readiness training to help girls and young women explore career options and prepare for the workforce. This includes resume building, interview skills, and job search strategies.

Mentorship Programs

Connecting girls and young women with successful women in various industries to provide guidance, support, and inspiration. The mentorship program will help the girls to have role models and learn from experienced and successful women.

Advocacy and Leadership

Empowering girls and young women to become leaders and advocates for change in their communities by providing training in leadership, public speaking, and community organizing.

Community Engagement

Building relationships and partnerships with local communities, community organizations, and government agencies to ensure that our programs are tailored to the specific needs of girls and young women in the community.
